Kate Krader's Salted Fudge Brownies

Current dogma dictates that box brownies are just as good as homemade, and while I, too, am seduced by the siren song of ease, these scratch-made brownies are only a little more effort and completely worth it. (I have made all the mixes and none come anywhere close.) I like them ice-box cold with a glass of milk.
