Tucked away in this small town is a Greek Revival library with its own wunderkammer museum, complete with an Egyptian mummy, collections of bird eggs and peculiar fossils, and a library cat named Page. And behind the library, the carriage house barn has been renovated into a truly stellar friends of the library bookshop (only open on weekends, I believe); I found a fascinating book on Victorian plant hunters there.
