David Keenan + Sophy Hollington's Complete Autonomic Tarot

The Autonomic Tarot has an unusual origin story—it grew from ideas in David Keenan's beloved cult novel, This is Memorial Device. Keenan then wrote a "'channeled' text" (called To Run Wild With It) that "reimagined the deck as the unfolding of parallel stories alive with uncanny oracular detail" and worked with Hollington to make a companion deck that would be a "glam-punk portal." The art is fantastic, in the truest sense of the word—woodcut images of jazzy clog-wearing witches, wobble-fingered hands, grinning mouths, whirling suns, and off-kilter stars, rendered with Hollington's distinctive electricity.
