After reading Dennis Lim's essay about this newish Alexandre Koberidze movie in the NYR ("How should a pixel be?"), I have been scanning local theater listings, hoping to catch it on the big screen. It follows a father as he searches the countryside for his vanished daughter and speaks to invisible witnesses. The whole thing was shot on a Sony Ericsson W595 phone, so the visuals are pixelated and low-resolution, almost abstracted.
